Joining our passionate and high-functioning Development Team, our Assistant Development Manager will work closely with our Development Managers, current ADMs and other business departments to effectively deliver our world class projects from conception through to settlement.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

Our ADM will fill a key role on the Beulah team by ensuring that our projects are conceived precisely, are built to the highest standards and that these are all delivered on time and in budget. The ADM will report to the Development Manager and the key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Assisting with project feasibilities, including all aspects of feasibility investigations
  • Supporting stakeholder, consultant and contractor tenders and negotiations including contractual reviews and due diligence
  • Supporting the planning process and working together with council, town planners, consultants and other key external stakeholders to ensure permits are granted in line with timeline, cost, quality and feasibility objectives
  • Coordinating a team of consultants to drive key project outcomes
  • Collaborating with internal sales and marketing team members to deliver key customer engagement initiatives and strong sales results
  • Assisting with project risk assessments and strategies for mitigation
  • Helping manage the overall development budget and expenditure for each project
  • Assisting with co-ordinating purchaser variations with the consultant team and contractor
  • Helping prepare timely, accurate and professional (internal and external) reports
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders including consultants, contractors and regulators
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant permits, legislation and contractual obligations
  • Assisting with Contractor Management, addressing variations, extensions of time, requests for information and other tasks as required
  • Project completion including contractual items, defecting, valuation inspections, purchaser inspections and building administration
  • Other functions as required to support the development team and effective operation of projects

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • At least 3-4 years of industry-based experience. Applicants with experience in an ancillary industry looking to move into the development industry are welcome
  • Appropriate tertiary education is encouraged, but not essential
  • Has an eye for design
  • Has excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Has the ability to manage conflict and work through it professionally
  • A can-do attitude and a positive outlook to new opportunities
  • Extremely efficient at time and work management
