With WFH arrangements now seeing a more permanent place in our work lives, research is finding that this increased flexibility is leading to more individuals choosing to blend travel with work, with 37 per cent of business travellers already making plans for 2021.

Also looking to cash in on the lucrative trend, several resorts – including Eden Roc Cap Cana and Playa Resorts- are beginning to offer extended-stay packages that cater for remote workers and learners, with Montage Hotels & Resorts even creating a remote learning academy.
Taking remote workers even further into the wilderness, Japan’s national parks are also upgrading their wifi infrastructure, in a bold move that aims to provide workers easy access to nature while promising convenient temporary workspaces housed in tents set up around the parks.
While this new era of nomadic workers is undoubtedly changing workplace culture, campervan start-up Kibbo aims to ensure workers are able to foster a sense of community, with each site providing wandering-workers shared amenities such as a communal kitchen and co-working space.
According to CEO Colin O’Donnell, workers should consider the Kibbo lifestyle if they ‘want to have the best year of [their] life, experience the freedom of the open road and build deep connections with a like-minded community, without giving up the comforts of home’.
