This growing community forms part of a broader trend, as homebuyer sentiment in the state reaches a three-year high.

The surge in interest coincides with a renewed optimism in the housing market. The Westpac Consumer Sentiment Index recorded a 15.3 per cent increase in March, reaching 106 points—following an 11 per cent gain in February, the largest jump of any state.

Among those relocating to Brunswick are early downsizers, professionals, business owners, retirees and multigenerational families—all united by a shared desire to live more intentionally. For one future resident, moving just around the corner from her grandchildren, comfort and accessibility were key. A lift was integrated into the design of her townhome to support her needs. Another family embraced a central courtyard layout that allows for privacy and independence between a self-contained studio and the main residence—offering a unique solution for adult children living at home.

Another future family is relocating from Queensland, downsizing from a large family home to be closer to both loved ones in Brunswick and their business’s Melbourne-based headquarters—embracing a new lifestyle without compromise.

Kate, another future resident, is returning to Melbourne with her partner Nik after many years working abroad, and was drawn to Brunswick Established for its commitment to actively supporting households to be sustainable, even through a level of customisation not often seen in the development space.

Having spent the past 17 years teaching cooking and leading food tours, the kitchen was central to Kate’s vision. Together with the Beulah team, she co-designed a space that included a warming drawer, ceramic sink, tailored benchtops, expanded pantry systems, and considered power access—all chosen with intention.

Kate and Nik will also adapt the second and third bedrooms to function as workspaces that double as guest rooms, incorporating wall beds and reconfiguring storage to reflect their way of living.

Located at 23 Hodgson Street and designed by Six Degrees Architects, Brunswick Established is currently under construction.
