Paving the way in this field, payment solutions service Klarna is aiming to improve the e-commerce experience through the introduction of Modular Mailboxes – community-facing lockers aiming to support circularity and inspire transactions while making life easier for individuals and communities.

Designed by Note Design Studio, the neighbourhood lockers include a module for collecting online orders, another for recycling parcel wrapping, while a more innovative element could enable 3D printing.

Catering to the fast-growing demand for same day delivery, US-based company FastAF is offering consumers access to premium goods in an average of 27 minutes, with brands such as Aesop, Glossier and Sonos – the majority of which did not previously have same-day shipping options – now delivered to your doorstep within the hour.

“There was a really quick and elegant way to get your groceries, but not a really quick and elegant way to get the brands that you have a high affinity toward,” says Lee Hnetinka, co-founder and CEO of FastAF’s parent company, Darkstore.
