CAUTION…Heavy machinery on site!

Despite the blustery cold of winter, our trusted builder Ironside has been forging ahead with critical basement works.

From 20 tonne excavators to countless trucks leaving the site, the process of the bulk excavation of the building’s basement is underway, including the installation of the concrete basement walls known as shotcrete*.

These works are completed in stages as the excavation progresses deeper into the ground.

Upon completion, Ironside will have the tower crane delivered to site and installed, ready to feed the job with all materials that will see The Grounds of Kew rise out of the ground.
