with Open House Melbourne

30 - 31 July 2022

Ever wanted to explore Beulah’s award-winning projects? Now is your chance, as we are thrilled to share that Beulah will be taking part in the Open House Melbourne Weekend this year, spanning Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July.

This year’s theme, Built/Unbuilt seeks to catalyse a city-wide conversation about the future of architecture, landscape and urban design through the lens of pressing issues facing cities today. There are over 200 buildings and events in this year’s program with a diverse range of talks, walking tours, exhibitions, digital experiences and more to participate in throughout the Weekend. We look forward to welcoming guests as they immerse themselves in the Beulah experience at either the iconic Paragon, or the unique and forward-thinking BETA By STH BNK.

Wander through three experimental floors of Hanover House before its demolition. On ground level are innovative retail concepts including The Future From Waste Lab, curated by designer Kit Willow, which is testing a more sustainable approach to fashion production. The fourth-floor Atelier hosts artisans in residence, including artist & experimental designer Jessie French, Ella Saddington of craft studio Cordon Salon, and DNJ Paper, which makes clothing from traditional Japanese paper. The fifth floor is being used for a range of events. On arrival, you will also have the opportunity to marvel at local rising artist Atong Atem’s transformative, large-scale mural currently wrapping Hanover House. Featuring two murals inspired by Atem’s collection of colonial and vintage European wallpapers, ‘Outdoor Living’ is a vibrant, 1970s floral mural featuring bright banksia flowers and neon lights.
